Celebrate the magic of Christmas in Grapevine, the Christmas Capital of Texas®! Grapevine is the perfect place to create wonderful Christmas memories with your family and friends this season. You'll be amazed at the more than 1,400 Christmas events in 40-plus days, as you see Grapevine sparkle with millions of lights, enormous decorations, animated characters and a whole lot more!

Whether you're looking for a night out with the family, an opportunity to enjoy the holiday with someone special or a unique holiday getaway, Grapevine offers some of the most magical moments of the season! Here are just a few of the activities offered:

North Pole Express
Create a unique “Family Christmas Memory” at the Grapevine Vintage Railroad’s North Pole Express®. Your experience begins at the Historic Cotton Belt Depot platform where you board the beautifully decorated Victorian Rail Coaches and are greeted by elves, minstrels and carolers. Departing the platform, you will enjoy live entertainment and the reading of a Christmas story when every child will receive a “We Believe” Silver Santa Bell.

ICE! at the Gaylord: November 14-January 4
Christmas is back and better than ever at Grapevine's Gaylord Texan Resort. With 1.5 million twinkling lights, 15,000 ornaments, an amazing 54-foot-tall rotating Christmas tree, a 7-foot-tall gingerbread house ICE! featuring The Nutcracker carved from more than two million pounds of ice, Kung Fu Panda, Awesome SNOW Tubing, and other exclusive holiday events and attractions.

The Grapevine Opry
Christmas music fans will love the Grapevine Opry's seasonal shows featuring some of the best local performers in North Texas. From traditional to contemporary – the Opry has a variety of shows for you and your family to enjoy. Click here for available show dates.

Parade of Lights: December 5 at 7 p.m.
Bring the entire family to the Parade of Lights, the largest lighted Christmas parade in North Texas. This Grapevine tradition features more than 100 lighted floats and marching bands. Look for Santa Claus on the last float! Come early to claim your spot along Historic Downtown Main Street to watch this exciting holiday event. This event is free to the public.

Christmas Wine Trains: December 12 & 19
Ride the rails on the Grapevine Vintage Railroad's Christmas Wine Trains. This seasonal event is a festive grownup escape from all of the Christmas hustle and bustle! This fun evening begins with a reception at 7PM in the Cotton Belt Railroad District, followed by boarding at 7:30PM. Each train features a different Grapevine winery and winery representatives will be on board. Wine will be available for purchase on the train. Tickets are $40 per person. Buy your tickets early as these train experiences sell out quickly. Riders must be 21 and over. For more information, please call 817.410.3385.

for the sixth year in a row
The Vineyards Campground & Cabins was one of 32 campgrounds, RV parks and resorts across the country to earn an all-around “A” grade in the sixth annual GuestRated™ satisfaction survey of RV parks and campgrounds. Not only is The Vineyards home of the ARVC’s “Best Small Park of the Year Award” for 2012, but this is our sixth year to receive a  GuestRated™ “A”.

More than 30,000 camping and RV enthusiasts completed reviews in the GuestRated.com online survey, grading their experiences at 3,300 individual RV parks and campgrounds.

"Consistently earning an overall 'A' grade from guests is difficult, and our 32 winners this year represent less than 1% of all of the nation's campgrounds." said Bob MacKinnon, President and CEO of GuestRated.com, the Murrieta, CA-based company that conducted the nationwide online survey.
