Wear your bug spray!
The City of Grapevine is diligently working to eliminate the mosquito population that carries the West Nile Virus. They are being proactive in conducting mosquito control ground spraying when a sample comes back with a positive for West Nile Virus. You can protect yourself – avoid going outside during dusk or dawn and always wear bug spray containing DEET when outdoors. Bug spray containing DEET is available for purchase in the Camp Store.

The Life Of A Full-Time RVer

Ralph & Janine Sharp share their story
At The Vineyards Campground & Cabins, our host couples have been living the RV life for many years and have ample stories to share. Therefore, we’re going to start sharing those stories with you in our newsletter each month. This month, Ralph and Janine Sharp, who work the front gate at The Vineyards share how they got started workamping:

“We retired in 2004 and went on a nationwide trip. Five months in, we decided to get into workamping and have been doing it ever since. We have family living all over the country and RV-ing gives us the luxury of having our home with us wherever we go. We feel the best thing about the RV lifestyle is the people that we have met while traveling.”
RV Tip of September From Good Sam Club

Extra Drawers for Your RV - RV Tip # 101
“Use lids from copy paper boxes to organize and store canned goods in cabinets. The lids are available at any print or copy shop—and usually free. Slide the lids into a cabinet shelf and if your shelf happens to be above your washer/dryer, two lids will fit side-by-side. Put canned goods in the lids. Doing so will buffer them as you are driving.”  For more helpful RV tips, visit goodsamclub.com.

 Guest Reviews

A special thanks to Beanie for staying with us in August and calling us the “Disney World of Campgrounds” in his Guest Review with us!  We really do appreciate all of our guests that take the time to give us feedback.

"This is the third time I’ve stayed here this year. The best part about this park is the people who work here. The check-in is easy, all questions are answered, and every request is acted upon like you are VIP’s. Have had only great experiences at the store as well, very helpful all around. The park is very well kept and clean. I compared it to the Walt Disney World of campgrounds for cleanliness. Shower and laundry facilities are top rate, immaculate! Only gave a 4 for price. It is an expensive place to stay, but your money is well spent here. Close to shopping, restaurants, and attractive downtown Grapevine. Thank you for a very pleasing experience!"

Thank you, Beanie, for choosing to stay at The Vineyards Campground & Cabins.  We look forward to welcoming you back on your next visit!
